Shapes, lines, and curves play a big role in graphic design — one of the most important skills needed in business and on the web today. For our project, students first designed their own unique, interlocking shapes, and filled an entire poster with their puzzle-like patterns. Some shapes were very abstract, but with a bit of creativity, the kids found familiar objects, people, and animals within the shape.
Next, kids will experiment with colors and fill in all the poster. The finished, colored posters will have a three-dimensional feel to them. Stay tuned for more!
