With the school Christmas Show just around the corner, music is on all our minds. In just a few weeks, students will stand up in front of their classmates and parents, and perform songs, skits, and presentations that highlight their skills and just how much they’ve learned this year.
イノセンスプラスアカデミーでは、オールイングリッシュの環境で、ひとつの科目について分野にこだわらず多角的に学習しています。科学や数学、地理、テクノロジーは全て関係しています。他の科目についても同じです。
Of course, at Innocence Plus, all learning is done in English, and subjects are taught in a way that is interdisciplinary. This means that science, math, art, geography, and technology are all connected. And it doesn’t end with just those five core subjects.
数学のクラスで分数について学んだあと、生徒たちはどの分数が人にとって心地よい音楽を作り出すか考えました。全音符が小さい音符にどう分けられるかについても学びました。まさに分数の考え方と一緒ですね！
After mastering simple fractions in math class, students this week studied how fractions can make sweet music for us to enjoy. They learned how the whole notes we sing or play on the piano can be broken down into shorter beats — half, quarter, eighth, even sixteenth! — just like the easy math they already knew.
