It\u2019s cold lately, and the flu is going around! I hope everyone is taking care of their health!<br \/>\nRecently, I shared a video blog about English resources online for improving your listening skills. Did you watch it? If you check out any of the links, please let me know! I\u2019m interested in hearing what you thought!<br \/>\nOne thing I realized, however, was that all the websites and youtube channels I recommended were for adults. But what about kids and parents? That\u2019s why today, I\u2019d like to introduce you to my favorite resource for kids. It\u2019s a youtube channel called,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCe1VpF4wS_kdcjyTRSXBcnQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Singing Walrus!<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCe1VpF4wS_kdcjyTRSXBcnQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2250\" src=\"https:\/\/innocence-plus.com\/sendai\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/thesingingwalrus.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"299\" height=\"168\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a funny name, right? Their mascot is really funny, too!<\/p>\n<p>If you want to practice English at home with your family, these videos and songs are great! The music and animation are very high-quality, and many of the videos include subtitles so parents and kids can sing along. The topics include basic vocabulary like numbers, colors, nouns, and verbs, and teach kids how to use the words in natural context. They are appropriate for preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary kids.<\/p>\n<p>Music is a good tool for learning because we can practice pronunciation and fluency, and it&#8217;s repetitive. Kids (and adults!) love listening to the same songs again and again.<\/p>\n<p>My favorite video from The Singing Walrus is the Clean Up Song.<\/p>\n<p><iframe data-src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gPq7wzGEjqE\" width=\"560\" height=\"314\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I often sing it at home when I\u2019m doing housework\u2026Even though I\u2019m not really a kid anymore! When that happens, we usually say in English,<\/p>\n  <div class=\"sng-box box24\">\u201cI have (a song) stuck in my head!\u201d&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p>or,<\/p>\n  <div class=\"sng-box box24\">&#8220;This song is stuck in my head!&#8221;<\/div>\n<p>That means we can\u2019t stop thinking about or singing a particular song.
